Public Benefits for Immigrant and Refugee
Survivors of Domestic Violence

This course will help advocates sort out what public benefits immigrant or refugee survivors should be able to receive. Potential risks that immigrant and refugee survivors face when trying to access services and benefits will be reviewed as well as strategies to help survivors make ends meet. The course will include critical thinking components as well as experiential activities and opportunities to see how the system works (or doesn't work) in your community. You are strongly encouraged to take the Public Benefits 101 course as a prerequisite to this course. You can earn up to 8 training hours for this course.
