We are women and men who are or have been in an abusive intimate partner relationship and we work as staff or volunteers in member programs of the Coalition. We choose to keep the focus on survivors, not "victims." We speak up, speak out, and speak loud. Since 1996, the caucus has worked to support survivors who work in the field.
Domestic Violence Survivors' Recognition Day - October 15 marks a day to remember and honor those murdered by their abusers, and to recognize and celebrate the lives of those who have survived.
Annual retreat - Anyone working at a member program, or who is an individual associate member, and self-identifies as a survivor of intimate partner violence is invited to attend the annual retreat.
Annual Meeting - Held each year at the WSCADV Conference, all caucus members are encouraged to attend. We also host a hospitality suite.
Periodic Business Meetings - We hold meetings in a variety of locations around the state to give all members a chance to participate.
If you self-identify as a survivor of intimate partner abuse and are working at a member agency of WSCADV, you are invited to join. Contact us.
Members receive announcements of all Caucus activities, have opportunities to attend and help organize, and run for and/or vote on our Caucus representative to the Coalition Board of Directors.
